The applicant can download the application form from The Home web pages or claim personally or in writing.

The Home facility is situated in the chateau in Žampach village, which is approximately 12 km north-east of Ústí nad Orlicí. This is a place of extraordinary historical and natural value which is used not only for the Home activities but also for the construction of a modern centre with connections to social services within the surrounding social environment.

The mission statement of the institution

The mission statement of the institution is to arrange and provide services supporting the skills, leading to independence in every day life activities as well as self-sufficiency in decision making of personal matters. Moreover, the Home offers social-therapeutic, educational, occupational and leisure activities both in its own centres and the local social environment.

History

The chateau premises have been used for state social needs since 1950, when the home for sick and elderly people was founded.

In 1967, it was changed into a home for social welfare for young mentally handicapped people. The care for approximately 35 boys was mainly implemented by nuns of the Franciscan Order. Since the 70s, the chateau and its premises have been reconstructed and shaped to suit the needs of social welfare.

It has been changed to facilitate nearly 100 clients over the last 10 years. The care was managed not only by civilians but also by nuns of the Vincent Order, who left the home in 1985. At that time there were more than 120 boys and men in the home.

Due to social and political changes in 1989, there has been a wide increase of public interest in events and the atmosphere of these homes and similar institutions.
